Bodie Ghost Town

Last November my family and I went to Bodie State Historic Park. It's called Ghost Town because no body live there anymore.  To learn more about Bodie history, you can read the wikipedia article here.

It took us 6 hours on the road to get there from our house. My brother and I were so excited to see the snow.
I like to make and play with the snow but I don't want to live in snowy place because I am scared of the cold.
This is the church in Bodie that still standing.

My mom thought that this house was interesting because the owner display his collection in the window.
Can you see those bottles?
There was well too.

We also went inside the museum. It has many interesting old stuffs

There were big wagons inside the barn. I think it would take many horses to pull those big heavy wagons.
There were old truck
and abandoned gas station.

There was a place where my voice echoed; so me and Didi kept saying, "Echo, echo, echo"

I took a peek inside the house.
It is interesting because we can see how people live at that time. Many things are broken because people no longer take care of it.

This was a school building.
I may go to school here if we live there during that time.

Didi was tired by then and asked to be carried to the car.

Bye Bodie, it's good to see you.

Field Trip: Aquarium of the Bay

My mom just wrote a blog post about Monterey Bay Aquarium. So I told her I want to write about the other aquarium that we visited last year: Aquarium of the Bay at San Francisco

This aquarium is much smaller than the Monterey Aquarium but I still like it because some of the animals are different than the ones in Monterey.

They also has touchpools where we can gently touch the animals like sting rays,
leopard and horn sharks,
sea stars and sea cucumbers:
My favorite part was the frog and tortoises:
The aquarium also has jelly fishes
My mom favorite was the tunnels. I think it's pretty cool because it has giant sea basses

After that we went to see the sea lions at Pier 39

I saw some of them fighting for space.
The sea lions were loud and stinky

Visit their website for more information on the hour, direction, and tickets.

When I want a fish first

One day I went to my friend, Bella's house and I saw a fish. I wanted a fish too so I asked my mom if I can have one. My mom said, "Yes, if you and Didi sleep in your own room."
Then, after Papa got home from work, we go to the store to buy the beautiful fish. We ended up buying four small fishes but three of them died already.

So Papa got two more Butterfly fishes.

I think they are very pretty.

When Max wanted a crab too

One day I and Papa went to Pet's Smart. There, I saw red claw crabs. They were so funny because they were snapping their claws. Then I asked papa, "Can I have it as a pet?" Papa said, "Yes but you have to read 50 books in order to get it."

So I read and read and read and read and read and read.....
Finally, mama said I can get the crab. I am so happy.

So I went to the store with Papa and Didi. We got four crabs.

Papa put them into the tank:

But one big crab snapped at the smaller one. And the smaller one died. So now I only have three crabs.

Do you think they are cute or dangerous?
